The Pros and Cons of Hoover Platinum UH30010COM 2-in-1 Vacuum
Over the past year of us using this vacuum, it has been used it regularly (around twice a week). Many of our testers actually say that this is the best vacuum cleaner they have ever owned. Let’s find out why.
A great design aspect of this vacuum is that they placed two highly effective cleaning systems, the upright and the canister, together in one great package, designed to get your home clean from floor to ceiling. It was evident from the very first time that we used it that it has a very strong suction power. This is the strongest that many of us have ever owned.
- The vacuum itself is very light, making it easy to move from room to room, upstairs and down with very little effort.
- We’ve mistakenly sucked up a lot of things with this vacuum cleaner, including coins, bolts and other plastic and metallic things. So far it is showing no sign of damage.
- The headlamp is bright and provides great use in dark places.
- The bag is simple to replace and is designed in such a way that it does not eject dust all over the place while you are trying to change it. Changing the bag itself is a clean and quick process.
The bad part about this upright with canister vacuum cleaner is the fact that the rollers have no power. That means that you are going to have to push and pull this vacuum on your rug or carpet, instead of the vacuum pulling itself. If you have a thick carpet, then you are going to find yourself doing some pushing and pulling. Because of this, this vacuum cleaner is not good for people who are weak and have a thick carpet.
Another quirk that we found is that the red “change bag” light comes on even if the bag is new, but this wasn’t really a huge deal. The power cord also doesn’t have the auto rewind feature.
After a year of use, this vacuum cleaner is performing as strongly as the first day we used it. The canister that comes with this vacuum cleaner is a separate vacuum with a hose and some attachments. And surprisingly, I use this canister as much as I use the upright. It is light, easy to carry around, and too has a strong suction power. It’s a great bonus to the entire product.
